I can climb the Everest if needed

IMG_3933, originally uploaded by Kim- A Striped Tiger.

This butterfly somehow tells me it can climb the Everest. Just my personal thought to it. Just the way I feel everytime I look at it. Looks like this guy can scale anything, any height.

And ofcourse he did. I waited a while to see what he does after this, and lo behold... he was up there. Never seen butterflies climb. What are wings for??

Spotted a sparrow

Its been a long time I spotted a house sparrow around. I remember the time when I used to put out some seed for the sparrows in our portico before going to school.

Though the original sparrow is no more available for clicks in Bangalore, I spotted 2 varieties of the same. An ashy crowned sparrow lark and another sparrow lark. Here they are. Click for larger versions

Another trip

Another weekend trip. And this time to Kasargod. The route info as follows. Bangalore - Kunigal - Hassan - Belur - Chickmagalur- Charmadi - Dharmasthala (halt for the night). BC Road - Mangalore - Kasaragod - Bekal Fort (halt for the night). Ksd - Mng - Udupi -  Karkala - Moodabidri - Dharmasthala and back the same route.

Best part of the trip being, had a fellow SLR geek for critisism.
Harish (haddi)
He was trying to capture the gang, which was posing for him. CAptured the gang when they were posing for Haddi.

A place where river meets sea. This being summer the river actually doesn't meet the sea. A walk along this strip under moonlight  is real relaxing
Got to refresh some memories in Karkala.

After shooting the moon, shot the sun as well.

Tried my hands at birding. But the experts were missing in action. So it turned out to be a disaster.

Waiting for the 7th feb Bekal fort trip for a good birding exp
